Hui Chen
I am a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Statistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, advised by Professor Vikas Singh. Previously, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Renmin University of China in 2022.
My research lies in efficient machine learning for structured and sequential data, with interests including time series forecasting, probabilistic modeling, and diffusion-based generative models. Recently, I have expanded my work toward 3D/volumetric data generation, developing methods that leverage structural priors and scalable architectures to synthesize high-dimensional data effectively. Broadly, I aim to improve the flexibility, efficiency, and applicability of generative AI across diverse data modalities. I am also interested in representation learning and deep learning methods for complex temporal and spatial data.
In my spare time, I enjoy swimming and spending time with my dog.
